The patented pendulum cutting action has been scaled up to produce wider and longer joints. One of the most appealing benefits of the Domino system of joining wood is the time it saves. The ability to bring the tool to the work, rather than the work to the tool, speeds the whole process up. It's especially beneficial with the new DF 700, as it is intended for larger heavier components that can be difficult to take to stationary machinery.
